SHRI SWAMINARAYAN SATSANG MANDAL LUSAKA, ZAMBIA.

LUSAKA SWAMINARAYAN SATSANG MANDAL. This goes back to about 1960 when P.S. Patel’s mother first started hosting religious activities like bhajan programmes and celebrating events like Janmashtami. This was carried on informally for many years until 1978 when we established a Hari Mandir at our house with the blessings of Swami Devnandandasji whom we hosted twice in Zambia.

We also hosted H.H.Acharya Maharaj Kaushalendraprasad of Amdavad gaadi (he was Lalji Maharaj at that time) Later other Sant groups also came and the most prominent were Swami Jagatprakashdasji and Shashtri Krushnaprakashdasji popularly known as K. P. Swami, Kadodara) who came 3-4 times in the 1980’s, holding parayans on Satsangi Jivan, Bhagavad Gita etc.

Nursing College

Here I would like to mention that Vinod Patel (Vikay) has been with us right from the year 1978 up to the present time (over 45 years) and he has proved to be very reliable and a great pillar of support. We are the only two now remaining from the start.

The other young devotees who regularly attended the weekly Sabhas have all left to settle in the U.S.A., Canada and the U.K. Since that time we are proud to say that from Kadodara (Surat) Param Pujya Kothari Bapa K.P.Swami and Akshar Swami have been regularly coming to Zambia every few years and gracing our functions and fulfilling the spiritual needs of all our devotees with enthusiasm.

Lusaka is the place for pious Indian who migrated years back to here. This is their now work place. Shree Swamirarayan Satsang Mandal here is organized by them. Where Shree Hanumanji always shower blessings, hincu saints always like Shri Hanuman Aradhana Mandal which is at Lusaka, Zambia. This is the holy place where worshippers chant Hanuman Chalisa for fulfillment of their aims and wishes in life. The entire atmosphere is filled up with ca’mness through eternal peace. The religious festivals are celebrated with invited Saints from India. There is religious assembly is organized. There becomes the divine celebration of the festivals by presence of Pujya K.P.Shastriji. who showers his blessings over people of Lusaka.
